RECALL NOTICE

2008 Felt S22 and S32 and 2010 Felt S32, B12, B14 and B16 Triathlon Bicycles.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 9, 2014) - Consumers should stop using this product unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.
Recall Summary

Name of Product: 2008 Felt S22 and S32 Triathlon Bicycles and 2010 Felt S32, B12, B14 and B16 Triathlon Bicycles.

Hazard: The steer tube on the bicycle fork can break and cause the rider to lose control, posing a risk of injury.

Remedy: Replacement Consumer Contact: Felt Bicycles toll-free at (866) 433-5887 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday or online at www.feltracing.com and click on “Notices” for more information.

Recall Details
Units: About 3,300 (2,100 additional units with the same steer tube were previously recalled in June 2010)

Description: This recall includes all 2008 Felt S22 and S32 triathlon bicycles, and 2010 S32, B12, B14 and B16 triathlon bicycles. The bicycles have aluminum frames with carbon fiber forks and aluminum steer tubes. The Felt logo is on the seat, frame and tires. The model number is printed on the frame, next to the Felt logo. The 2008 S22 model was sold in gloss white and the 2008 S32 was sold in gloss red. The 2010 S32 model was sold in gloss black, the 2010 B12 was sold in gloss white, the 2010 B14 was sold in gloss pewter and the 2010 B16 was sold in matte black.

Incidents/Injuries: Felt Bicycles has received 18 reports of the bicycle forks breaking, including five reports of minor injuries.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycles and contact their local Felt Bicycles dealer for a free inspection and steer tube replacement.

Sold by: Bicycle specialty stores nationwide from October 2007 through February 2014 for between $1,500 and $3,000.

2007-08 Felt F1X Cyclo-Cross Bicycles.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Felt Bicycles has a voluntary recall of about 1450 2007/2008 F1X Cyclocross bicycles. The bicycle’s fork steerer tube can break, causing the rider to lose control, fall and suffer injuries. There have been six reports of these forks breaking with minor injuries reported in two of the incidents. The recall includes all 2007/2008 Felt F1X Cyclocross Bicycles.  These bicycles are available in Semi-Matte Black and have aluminum frames with carbon fiber forks with aluminum steerer tubes. Bicycle specialty stores nationwide sold the 2007/2008 Felt F1X Cyclocross between July 2006 and April 2009 for between $1,449.00 and $1,499.00. They were manufactured in Taiwan.
 
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycles and contact their local Felt Bicycles dealer to receive a free inspection and repair.

2009 Felt B12, B16 and S32 Triathlon Bicycles.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 30, 2010) – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

Name of product:2009 Felt model B12, B16 and S32 bicycles.

Units: About 2,100 bicycles

Importer: Felt Bicycles, of Irvine, Calif.

Manufacturer: ADK Technology Limited of China

Hazard: The bicycle’s fork steer tube can break, causing the rider to lose control, fall and suffer injuries.

Incidents/Injuries: Felt Bicycles has received seven reports of the bicycle forks breaking. Minor injuries, including bumps and bruises were reported in one of the incidents.

Description: The recall includes all 2009 Felt model B12, B16 and S32 bicycles.
• 2009 B12 - These bicycles are gloss silver/carbon and have carbon fiber frames with carbon fiber forks with aluminum steer tubes.
• 2009 B16 - These bicycles are matte black/red and have carbon fiber frames with carbon fiber forks with aluminum steer tubes.
• 2009 S32 - These bicycles are available in gloss white/red and have aluminum frames with carbon fiber forks with aluminum steer tubes.

Sold at: Bicycle specialty stores nationwide from October 2008 through today for between about $2,300 and $3,100 per bicycle.

Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.  It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.
 
Name of product: 2011 Felt F3, F4, F5 and F75 Adultbicycles

Units: About 1,550 units

Importer:  Felt Bicycles, of Irvine, Calif.

Manufacturer: ADK Technology Limited of Guang Dong, China

Hazard: The bicycle’s fork can break, causing the rider to lose control, fall and suffer injuries.

Incidents/Injuries: None reported.

Description: The recall includes all 2011 Felt F3, F4, F5 and F75 bicycles with carbon fiber frames and carbon fiber forks. 
• 2011 F3 - These bicycles are satin carbon/satin white with red decals.
• 2011 F4 - These bicycles are satin carbon/satin white with grey decals.
• 2011 F5 - These bicycles are satin carbon/satin red or matte black with diamond shape design.
• 2011 F75 - These bicycles are gloss navy.

Sold at: Bicycle specialty stores nationwide from July 2010 through November 2010 for between about $1,400 and $5,000 per bicycle.
